air conditioning is not really just a question of getting cold air into a room. there has to be some heat exchange with the outside air. otherwise it will be about as effective as dumping ice into the bath tub.

an a/c unit is a heat pump operating in reverse, so that it pumps heat into the hotter environment outside. since this is not the natural direction of heat flow, it requires work, hence the hefty electrical bill. a central air system still has to take the hot air out of the room, blow it outside to the unit exchanger and evaporate it away. the cold air is simply the return air from this process. there has to be an outtake vent somewhere in the place. if you put an outtake and a diffuser in the bathroom, even with abs line, then it should work.
