I got bite by a spider that way gray and it had a little bit of blue on it. I don't know what kind of spider it is or could it be posionous. Should I go see my doctor about it? Or can I take care of it by using home care?

I killed the spider. But I don't know what kind it is. I didn't save it. After a few days the bite swelled and my foot got red. I used ice and calamine lotion on it, and the redness went down. After a few weeks, the bite went down, but its still there. What should I do?

You need to watch for redness that spreads up or down the place that you were bitten. If numbness occurs, red streaks, fever, chills, flu like symptoms, anything that makes you worry, go to your doctor. Look on the web under spiders and the place that you live. Many sites have pictures of the spiders that are in the area. It could be helpful.

Laura,
If not poisonous, you're describing a reaction to the bite. If possible, and as a strong suggestion, get on a phone and ask a professional in the medical field what you should be doing or what the next step may be regarding the bite.
For example, a local medical clinic or an emergency ward at a hospital where you can describe the bite, your reaction, all the details and speak to a local Medical Doctor, MD. They don't bite!
It's a start...take care of you!

You haven't died yet so the spider obviously was not lethal to you. Well, it could have been a foot-killing spider which is possible given your desciption of your foot. But foot-killer are very rare and I think you are safe in assuming that this was not one.

It would only involve your foot's dying anyhow and since this would cut your shoe expenses in half for the rest of your life, I think you can see it really isn't that big a tradeout issue.

So, we are left then with if this was some other kind of spider--that is, a non-foot-killer and I think we are safe in saying "YES!" to that question.

What kind, then, we must ask.

A gray one with a blue spot! And beyond that, I haven't the foggiest idea.

Best wishes.

Usually if it is poisenous you will see the bitten area swell or discolor like a bad bruise. The site of the sting will swell and become painful.
You might also just have an allergic reaction. Pay attention to how your body reacts and keep the area clean till you know whether or not its harmful.

I would use home care, but if it gets worse... reddens, swells, seeps, fever, etc. get immediate medical attention. Meantime, check out the internet for poisonous spiders and see if your little culprit is on the list. Did you save the spider? Could be useful if you do have complications.

It's not a good idea to mess around with spider bites. I would go to the doctor.

Home care should do the job. If it had hairs you should have it checked because it might be a highly poisoness tarantula. If it has major deformation in the next 2 days, go see a doctor.

You have to see the doctor. I think the spider is not poisonous, but it's best to see the doctor about it, better safe than sorry.

Before the doc, see if you can shoot that sh*it out from your wrists like Spiderman. Might work out for you bro. You might even get to hook-up with a fat pie-faced redhead.
