A long arm of the same power would produce more leverage and torque, but I think it's more will power, and who has the most of that.

A long arm. A rather long arm would have a decisive advantage over a short and stocky arm due to its leverage. The type of muscle fibres in your arm is another factor as it depends whether you have muscles better suited to short sharp bouts or endurance.

i was previously Singapore polytechnic arm wrestling 2nd runner up. If my arm is shorter i would had be the champion. Longer arm when you bend it will form a wider V shape which harder to use your strength and body weight. therefore shorter arm will be an advantage. But not too short of course.

I think it has a lot to do with the ratio between the length of the upper arm versus the forearm. There's an optimum ratio for the best leverage, but I don't know what it is.

I had a similar chum approximately 2 an prolonged time interior the previous. i replace into plenty larger than he and that i replace right into a weight lifter. He challenged me to an arm wrestling contest and guess me that he could win. no longer being an entire fool, I suspected that some component replace into up. I declined to guess, yet we arm wrestled as properly. indoors in basic terms some seconds, i found out that his arm in basic terms does no longer bypass decrease lower back previous a sure ingredient. I as we communicate grant up attempting to win and extremely opted for conceal. He tried to conquer me at that ingredient, yet he did no longer have the capability. we grant up in a draw. He recommended me that his attitude replace into to permit everyone to burn themselves out attempting to place his arm down, and then it became undertaking-loose to place them down. in case you attempt to conquer a freak of nature, you're dropping it sluggish.
