I saw The Last Samurai and I loved it. I love most movies focused on the Martial Arts.

I don't think it's the GREATEST movie, but I remember really liking it (and being surprised that I did). Sadly though, it was on a day where I was feeling sleepy, and I think I may have fallen asleep towards the end. I got caught up on what happened though.

I saw it but I'm afraid I could not count it among the greatest. It was slow, lengthy, and I didn't care for the ending. The acting was not up to par either which is odd considering who all was in it. Sorry. Glad you liked it though.

So lame that we need to fictionalize the past, inject Americans into the past, to be able to identify with a people struggling against culture and technological revolutions.
Tom Cruise can suck a nut.
He's been in so many good films (not this one) and hasn't lived up to the role.
The only movie I liked him in was "Collateral" with Jamie Foxx.
