i think there still on cartoon net work, but there not the original ones i had when i was a kid on tv, mind you they used to do my head i lol, with that damn papa smurf he he.

No they're not extinct but it is quite a sad story.
Due to the fact that there was only one girl, Smurfette, and all the rest were guys the mass incest led to inbreeding. Throughout the years they have lost their blue skin, gained height and have become hidiously deformed & now only a few have survived.
Alec, Daniel, William, Stephen & Joseph Baldwin now live in Beverly Hills.

I know, it's a shame what few cartoons there are can only be found on specialty channels. Saturday mornings are not the same...without juggling the major network channels trying to decide which ones to watch...aah the good ole days.

No, sadly they can still beviewed on tiny pops and my son loves them. I liked Garganel (I think that's what he was called, the evil one)
