I’ve got a 95 5.0 and I just moved to AZ. And the weather is so hot that my car doesn’t fun too long before the temp. raise excessively to the point where I wont even drive the car. I know there could be many reasons as to why this is happening. I just got my A.C fixed and between that and my move to AZ. My car starts to over heat. I’ve got pretty much every aftermarket part you could buy for this car other then a supercharger. In my glove box I’ve got a Best Product fan controller that seems to adjust the radiator fan speed. I can’t seem to find anything on the net about this fan controller let alone find any informtion on how to adjust the fan speed. Any pointers out there that would help me fix this problem would be awesome! Thank you all in advance for your help!

It sounds like your problem might have more to do with either your water pump going out or you need to replace the thermostat... of course the sending unit could be bad too... more than likely it is just a coincidence that it happened after you moved to arizona... as far as the fan controller goes, you will probably need to contact the manufacturer for it... also, try calling your nearest NAPA too see if they can advise you.. to find your nearest one, call 1-800-LET-NAPA... or go to www.napaonline.com to search for a store near you. They have many ASE certified parts people to assist you. If they can not help you, they might can tell you where to go to get the help you need.

When's the last time you changed the coolant? change the thermostat to a 180 degree or lower temp. Moving to a hot climate place there are things that are different with a car that is all climate inclined,to adjust to weather change. Staying in a hot climate all year round requires special attention to the cooling system as to more water than antifreeze since it ain't going to freeze anymore. All I know is the radiator should be a 4 row core for more heat dissipitation, a thermostat that opens at a temp. of 150-165 degrees, and a fan relay that turns on at a certain temp before overheating. My guess is to check with a mechanic that always knows about this situation because they deal with the heat all year round. I'm a mechanic in NYC where the weather obviously changes every 6 months.

The problem is the radiator. On mine I had the same problem, what you need to do is replace the stock single core radiator with a dual core. Just pull it out and take it to a radiator shop. It may just be plugged but taking it to a radiator shop would be your best bet.

pull your thermostat located somewhere around top radiator hose.usally where the hose connects to the block.it should be rated 190 - 210 degrees.put it in boiling water if it does not open that means water ain't circulating through your engine and the thermosthat needs to be changed good luck.
