I've seen people on cruise ships use them but I don't know much about them. I don't get motion sickness. I know that on the cruise ships a lot of people wear a patch and it helps them. Talk to your doctor about taking an antihistamine. That would probably be a whole lot easier.

Yes, they actually work. They can work for morning sickness too, in case you were wondering. They work by putting pressure on certain pressure points in your wrist, they have a little disc like thing in them that goes over the specific spot. Kind of like how acupuncture works. I don't know if I explained that well, but anyway. One thing though, I found them annoying to wear after a short time.

Sea-bands work wonders - I even use them at home when someone's got the flu - it really helps - make sure you position them correctly. Also, eating crystalized ginger, ginger snaps and drinking ginger ale really helps settle a stomach, too.

OK, I know this sounds bizarre, but it works.
put plain brown paper on your stomach, like a paper bag, in contact with the skin, under your shirt. I have no idea how or why it works, I just know that since my brother turned out to be allergic to the gravol pills and we needed an alternative to go on long car trips (being kids who got carsick) my parents tried this, on someones recommendation one day, and it turned out that always worked on all of us.

I really recommend seeking acupuncture. I get very motion sickness even when I drive. I have had acupencture for it and it stoped it.
