I'm not as worried about the moisture (which will bake off soon enough in the heat) as I am installing shingles over wrinkled underlayment. Wet usually equals rain, which usually equals cooler temperatures and the possibility of wrinkled felt. It's best to install in dry, hot conditions, and work that felt until it is as smooth as glass. Otherwise, the finished job will be a little suspect, especially on cooler days.
