back then it used to mean something -- a toy was a real prize when i was a kid... i wish i could still get excited about it, i'm not sure just ordering one would summon the same feelings

No but I remember Big Mac's being a whole lot bigger when I was young.

I open my kids' Happy Meals for them, and it's not the same. Probably the same reason Christmas isn't the same. When you're young, it's all about toys and presents and Santa. When you grow up, you realize there's a REAL reason we celebrate.

At least with the Happy Meals, they brought back the cardboard box. Remember when they started putting them in paper bags for a while? That was awful. I also wish McDonald's would start frying their french fries in beef tallow again. Now THOSE were some good fries. And the fried cherry pies, instead of this baked apple junk they serve now. Ugh.

sometimes I miss the excitement of finding out which toy I got. Every now and then I get one- when the toys are good.

Yes, but now I get the joy of watching my kids open the occasional Happy Meal.

Just order one. I do all the time since the portions are more realistic.
