they used to be clear, now they look oxidized

You must have those acurrsed polycarbonate headlight lenses. Unlike sealed beam headlights that could be replaced for 10 or 12 dollars polycarbonate headlights deteriorate over time and get that "fogged up" look. It is cost prohibitive to buy new ones as they can cost hundredes of dollars apiece. There are polishing kits available to polish them up though and that would probably be your best option. These are do it yourself kits that shouldnt be to expensive.

Type the word FLITZ In yahoo they make a tool and polish That works.

The haze can be reduced by using a lot of rubbing and a mild abrasive.

I recommend "Scratch Out" manf. by Kit. Wal-Mart!

you can take it to a detail shop and have them buffed just as they would the paint. also works on bug shields or anything plastic. just make sure they don't use a heavy cut polish.

you might have to go and buy a new one that will not come off i have the same problem
