It's like any other unrequited love story. Many men love it, tho'. Why is "Casablanca" so special?

To kit-kat:
I'm 33, and I love old movies. There's no need to be b*tchy and snide about things. It's just an honest question. Learn a little tolerance, 'kay?

Are you kidding? One of the greatest films ever! Bogart. Bergman. Action. Love. Sam the piano guy. Claude Rains. The evil German guy.

Here's looking at you, kid...

What I loved about Casablanca was that it was so well written. One of my favorite lines was, "Who are you, and what were you before? What did you do, and what did you think?" Rick was so, so into Ilsa that he literally wanted to know everything about her, and that's serious love.

And it wasn't an "unrequited love story", by the way. Rick and Ilsa loved each other, but because of the circumstances, they just couldn't be together. Call it a "tragic love story" instead.

i don't think it's the men...more like all the women. and you are probably too stuck up in these stupid teenage romances that you don't even know the true meaning of love. i mean, have you even seen "Casablanca". It's old, yeah, but it's a very romantic movie. It's not the kind of thing we are all used to today where in which the guy and the gal look at eachother.....wink and smile, get some drinks and end up sleeping together. it's so much more deep than that, but you are probably to out of it to really understand what the word "deep" means.

Because it teaches men that love is not being with the person that loves you, but giving the person you love the thing that makes her happy.

Besides, no one likes to be stuck with a bunch of Nazis in Morraco.
