I am a mom who happens to have a daughter who is 16 and pregnant. She is due in Sept. It was a total shock to her friends and family. She was alittle over a month when she passed out in church. I took her to the doctor, because she has always been low in iron and she is very active in sports. That's when I discovered she was pregnant. We faced alot of things. I left the decision of what to do, to her. We looked at abortion, adoption and keeping the baby. I was sure she would not have an abortion or adopt it out. That left us with keeping the baby. This is us. My daughter has a family with huge support and she knew this. It will be hard at times, but we will survive. No one can tell you what to do, but I would ask you not to have an abortion. There are so so so many people who don't have children and would love to have one. If you would want to continue seeing your child, maybe you can make arrangements with whom ever adopts. I will also say this, one of the biggest things my daughter faced was discovering who her true, real friends were. No matter what you need to tell your mom or another family member(one you feel most comfortable with). Don't wait to long.

You have three legal options: gestate and parent the child, gestate and adopt the child out, or abort.

Now, let me tell you I would never personally have an abortion and I would never advise another girl/woman to have one unless it was medically necessary. To me, adoption is a much more humane and morally responsible option. If you want to have a relationship with the child in the future, chose an open adoption.

If you want to keep your baby, you need to seek help from an adult immediately (if you're a minor). You'll need to start getting prenatal care as soon as possible, no matter what. You can apply to your local Department of Social Services for Medicaid for Pregnant Women (MPW) if you don't have health insurance. Find a pregnancy resource center near you, if there is one. They can help with providing baby furniture, baby clothes, bottles, toys, diaper bags, diapers, baby wipes etc if you agree to spend a minimal amount of hours doing pregnancy educational activities. The most important thing is emotional support and physical help, both of which you're going to need in your pregnancy.

Don't let anyone pressure you into making a decision you don't want to. I wish you all the best. Feel free to click on my profile and contact me.

Hun I got pregnant at 13... Not by choice.. I was raped but Honestly you need to talk to someone about it! It is so hard to deal with on your own! Now i am 19 an am 9 weeks pregnant! it is a tough thing but you can get through it! But Abortion is so not a route that anyone should take unless you or the child is at risk of dying! Good luck hun!

I am way past an "early age" and, since I remained a virgin until my wedding night, an unexpected pregnancy was not a worry for me. Consider saving your virginity for the man you want to spend your life with; it is the greatest gift you can give to him.

Now, if you are asking this because you are pregnant, only you can make the decision on what to do but please tell your parents. After they get over their shock, anger and disappointment, they will do all they can to help you make a decision.

I'm a little old for this question, but I have to say it depends on the situation. Like someone else said, abortion is an alternative, especially if there are medical reasons why you shouldnt be pregnant (your body isnt developed) but then again abstinence is the best thing for young women! Everytime you have sex you expose yourself to the possibility of cervical cancer! So keep it in your pants!

I was 14 when i first got pregnant and it was shock to family and friends, because my parents did not tolerate me hanging out with friends. But little than they knew their baby girl was pregnant. They just could'nt believe how did that happen (in their house) if I never hung out. But N E wayz I never thought about abortion or adoption I just dealt with my problems, continue school graduated, attend college graduated college and now I am 21 and I am pregnant again (16 weeks) all my sisters know and my mom but i refuse to tell my dad. Do what you think is right for you. To this day I look at my son and I thanks god for blessing me with a beautiful and healthy son.

I had decided I would have an abortion if I ever got pregnant before I was 23 years old. I was lucky and it never happened.

Use to think about getting an abortion but would never actually do that. Live up to my actions and provide a good life for my baby.
