It really just shows that all of life's random events add up to something. The frogs might have been a metaphor for god's interaction in life. That's the only thing I can think of.

Interesting movie. The frogs at the end were a bit too wierd. I cracked up over the Tom Cruise character. It feels like a Tarantino movie, only more random. Your best bet in a movie like that is to experience it and move on. The disjointed things don't really fit together. A lot of people struggle to see purpose and order in the universe. Disagree with me if you would like - seems like that movie was about seeming disorder and seeming lack of purpose coming together at the end to underscore ultimate futility. Or something like that. In the end, said Voltaire, the only thing that matters is to tend your garden.

I believe the frogs were a reference to another film by that director. That film to was about sorrow and life. And how it's important to treat each day as your last because you never know when it's going to end. All those people were connected someone just like the movie Crash. Each of them were at a crossroad in life. Sad movie.

I loved Magnolia, the frogs were in referance to the plagues in the old testament of The Bible, basically God judging them, claudia on coke,Jimmy Gator messing with his daughter,Donny the whiz kid robbing the store,Lily trying to kill herself.
