A lot of dips contain Pyrethrin. It's taken from the plant Pyrothrum Plant, "Chrysnthemum cinerariaefolium". It's the safest ingredient for animals. This particular dip is organic and if the dog licks the dip it won't hurt him. Adams and Zema are good dips. Adams dip also contains extras such as Lanolin, aloe vera and a suncreen. See Shopping.com for a price. If you need any more special information for your pet see: "Pet Education.com" Body not the head for immersion Lets not drown Fi Fi. Room temperature is okay, but Fidos bones and joints might feel better with Luke warm water. Good luck with your animal.

Flea dip uses pesticides to kill the fleas and it should not be rinsed off which causes the issue with pets licking themselves BUT we used fle dips with all of our animals growing up and never had any problems at all and it actually worked because that FrontLine, Advantage and other drop on the neck crap from the vet aint worth a dime.. all of my neighbors use it and swear by it like the poster above me BUT all of their cats still have fleas!!!! So whats the point paying high dollar for junk that does not work?

A flea dip is the way to go that is what we use on our cats and guess what? We have the only cats in the neighborhood that do not have any fleas!

It is submersion to the neck. I don't like it because the animals can lick themselves after wards and ingest the pesticide. The best way to kill fleas is go to your vet and buy Advantage or Frontline. It kills the fleas within 12 hours and keeps them off for month. You need to also bomb your house before the pet comes back home. Or spray your yard if the animal is kept outside.

Water temp is luke warm.

I've never had a flea on my dog after using the drops. Make sure it is properly used and not out of date.

Pyrethrin - organic does NOT MEAN SAFE. Ingestion of pyrethrins can KILL the dog.
