Wearing the correct ensemble, sweetie!

And, not 'overdoing' the makeup and perfume!

First off realize that there is nothing wrong with you. But I think you maybe confused on the choice of your wording Transgendered can mean alot of different things and is kinda ambiguous.
First figure if your Transgendered,Transvestite,
Transsexual or a Crossdressers there are lot of websites that have the proper definition's of each. Then become comfortable with it and begin living your life as intended.
Remember there is no real or lasting cure for anyone of these so called labels

E mail me if you need help or have other personal questions.

I have read up on the topic a bit, but its been a while since I have done so, I might have the order of things mixed up a bit.

step 1, is knowing that you have a problem usually this manifests in your preteen years or early teens.
step 2, is talking with a Gender Dysphoria psychiatrist
step 3, after being diagnosed with GID, you have to begin the real world test, I believe that some doctors will start you on hormones at this time as well.
step 4, after a minimum of 1 year real world test, the doctor (i think you need 3 reccomendations) can clear you for surgery if you wish to complete the package.

If you don't feel comfortable with the doc you have, by all means change doctors. GID is not a problem that can be simply 'cured' by either drugs or faith.

I definately suggest getting into a support group for TG people in your area, so you can get suggestions from people who are currently in the loop as to who to talk to, advice, and let you know that you aren't alone in the world.

Sadly, suicide is a very real problem for people with GID, due to stresses of transitioning, financial problems, societal problems and the like, please take care of yourself, and remember its your life, you know in your heart what will be best for you, grab your dream and hang on with both hands!

Oh, and definately don't try the self medicating thing by buying hormones online, There are a lot of potential complications with taking drugs of that type, and you need to be under the care of a pysician, and probably endicrynologist (spelling) to make sure your body doesn't have complications.

be safe!

it would help to know if you are ftm or mtf and the steps aren't about becomeing trans you are or you are not the truth inside is you feel that you were born in the wrong body and and your heart and mind know which you are but your body doesn't match up so you accept this that you are trans then you work with doctors and therapists to transition from one to the other university of michigan has a transgender program you should look into it.

Whoa! Does anybody know the meaning of the dam word "transgender"? You don't have to be gay to transgendered. You could be. If by transgender you mean changing your sex, that is a transsexual. You could be a heterosexual crossdresser. Or a pantie wearing queer (relax, I'm one of them). They all fall under the umbrella term Transgender.

1st: ignore all bible thumpers and homophobes, remember these twits have far more psychological problems than we do.
2: find a therapist trained in GID gender identity disphoria. If you find one that says he can cure you, get out of there fast. It's a christian, these people are responsible for more TG misery and deaths that any body.
3: Find a support group, your therapist can help you with this.
Both my partner and I have been out and living female 24/7 for 6 yrs. We both had our SRS three years ago, and have no regrets. If you want more personal advice please contact me, Both of us has helped many girls through transition. Check my 360.

I would say that the next step would be to have a surgeon to cut off the parts you don't want, and put the parts you do want on. If you are a man they cut your thing in a way to form a vagina. They give you hormones so you can grow breasts. Sounds great doesn't it? If you want to be a woman, which gender would you be attracted to?
