Men can be any woman's worse nightmare but you've got to admit life would be dull without them! We'd have nothing to moan about! Then sperm banks wouldn;t be without sperm donors! And unless you want to go back to the time of the Amazons, women tribes chasing and capturing men for reproduction and enslaving them as well ... I don't know who would fill the jars! I don;t think sperm banks are the answer but were we to produce artificial sperm then ... Things might change. Still ... Mother earth should be big enough to accomodate men as well as women! I'v met some downright awful men if i've met a few decent ones! Beside i could never do with my son! I love him too much!

Ok, imagine you've got your own perfect 'man-free' world. Say you managed to get to a sperm banks before they ran dry. You get basted. Your pregnant for 9 months - what happens if your baby is a boy? Are you going to have him killed?
Like everyone is saying, if you take the men away, after a short while, the human race would probably die out due to the lack of sperm.
I think that you and any other like minded women (I hope there's not that many) should just wait a little while longer, pool your cash together, get in a big space ship and fly away to a planet far far away - give it a name like Lezfeminatron 7 and enjoy your lives together. You'll probably have to raid earth every few years for more sperm - or perhaps you can just clone yourselves.

No sweetheart, this is YIN AND YANG, men are part of our evolution as women that the best we can do is work together rather than hurt eachother.
You are limiting the capacity of men to sperm donation and they are greater than that...you will not find a great friend at the sperm bank, or someone to be your companion for a lifetime...sperm banks have a specific task and men are half our history, the other side...the side we all have to work with.
Give them a chance!

Because men are more than just sperm.
I'm a lesbian, so I probably have less need of men than most women, but I can see the many positive things men bring to the world, in terms of their humour and how they approach problems in a different way to women. I would not like to see a world without men.
The world would be a much less interesting place without men. As a people though, we DO need to address the falling fertility of men - this is an issue might have huge repercussions in a few centuries.

Sperm is not necessary for humans to reproduce. Two eggs can be joined, albeit in a petri dish, but the offspring would always be female. So biologically speaking, if men did not exist, the human race could still survive.
Maybe that's why men feel the need to dominate and oppress women...because they are insecure.

To follow your line o thought .Now that we have cloning and test tube baby's . Should we abolish women ? The fact you ask this question tells that you are lonely and bitter . I am sorry that some butt head of a man hurt you . All men are not that person or persons . I hope you find a man one day who can give you hope . Look its a all or nothing thing
Imagine a world with no Kevin Costner, in Tin Cup or The Bodyguard, no Harrison Ford in working girl or Indiana Jones, they to me show the perfect guy, imagine a world with no one who makes you tingle, turns you stomach upside down
And with that you have to take most men that answered this question, arrseholes, perverts, morons, and all others but I have also met a few women like that.
So how about instead we abolish all arrogant, resist, sexist and all prejudices and leave the rest to get it on!

Well I am a man, but I tend to agree with you. If there were no men, I think there would be fewer wars. I think men are cruel and selfish, bar a minority of men, I guess. I feel ashamed that we men behave so badly. On the whole women are much better citizens.
