Does anyone know of anywhere to find play dates for my daughter? My inner circle mainly consists of male friends without children and it would be nice if I could find other parents with children in the 2 1/2 year old range to get together and have our kids play together. She will be starting preschool in September, but I was hoping to find someone for her to play with during the summer. Any info you have to offer would be appreciated. I'm in zip code 94533 if that helps any.

Uh, excuse me, I'm not offering my daughter on the internet! I am looking for a possible resource (if one exists) to meet other people that may have similar interests.

It's very sad when people don't know how to read. I am looking for information on a resource, not looking to "HOOK UP" with ANYONE on the internet.

I haven't even read the other responses but, as a father of a 5 yr old, l find the question was perfectly clear. That won't be easy, but if you go to parks she will almost always make an ad hoc "friend". I guarantee you that after she does goes to pre-school, your social life will revolve around hers. She will be getting you friend.

Check out Mothers Day out, they usually have some fun activites for the kids. Maybe your local elementary school might have a PTA that sponsors something. Church groups, recreation centers. You can always post some flyers and hold one at your home.

The park, children's section in the library, and other children's activities in your area. These are great areas to meet other parents with children.

There are often playgroups run by the local park district. If you go to church that may be an idea also.

Try parks or public pools, some YMCA's have programs. There are other moms out there looking for companions for their little ones (and for themselves) so it shouldn't be too hard...
