He is always saying hatefull things about other co workers, and verbally attaked one of them today. However when I tried to talk to him about it, he refuses to even look at me. I tired to explain to him that it is not apporate to approch a situation that way and if there is a problem he needs to come talk to me. I will talk to the other person. But he wont budge, and says it is done and walked away. What should I do?

documents your conversations with him, begin a file, you need to start to write him up with warnings. He may become a liability to your company if other people find him offensive. You never know. And you better speak to your boss about it too and let them know what your plans are to either get his behavior changed or let him go.

Your company must have disciplinary procedures in place to deal with difficult employees. Get him down that route and if needs be fire him
