Well, here's another example:
I am going to --> I'm going to --> I'm gonna --> I'mma
People like to shorten words to no end. This is the shortened phase of I don't know. I wonder how will they shorten this one in a couple of months...

I do not use it, but I do see it used quite often. I don't know why, I suppose it is just socially accepted slang. It does not make it correct though.
