I live in Phoenix, northwest, the other day I got lost in the south part of the city when it was getting dark, the houses looked very deteriorated and there was people in the streets that started yelling things at me, they looked crazy, out of their minds, I got scared specially because I had my 16 month old baby in the backseat, so I just sped up and tried to find my way out, I should have taken the freeway.

I'm no afraid to visit this but it's really awesome. On this old bumpy road very narrow also and surrounded by woods, on a curve if you look up into the woods, it's a hill that goes up there are a bunch of white crosses. It's an indian burial ground and with your headlights shining on it it's pretty cool. You have to be looking for it though or you won't notice it.

I live in NYC. I feel very safe in most of BK, Queens, and Manhattan, I rarely go to Staten Island or the Bronx.
I am very scared of East New York in Brooklyn, for no real reason. There are some train stations that really creep me out at night too -- mostly along the J line.

Chicago south side. It's a bad place to be alone, after dark or during the day.

When I was in college, one block away from the campus were the frat and sorority houses. However, we were strongly warned to not go past there. Apparently, two blocks from the campus, many (MANY) townies and students were gang raped.
