Wal-mart has been the corporate poster boy for greed and ruthlessness for a number of years. Inspiring a mass resurgence in the 'greed is good' philosophy throughout corporate America, hence the large push towards globalization in the last decade. They will probably go down in the books as one of the most ruthless, and ethically devoid bunch of corporate robber barons in American history, (and no, I have never worked for Wal-Mart, minimum wage is not appealing to me..) So, I say, rob them blind! They are eliminating manufacturing jobs, laying waste to the merchant sector and giving you cheap, poorly made products in return - (think: mortgaging your future). Anything we can do to put them out of business is a good thing in my opinion..

First of all, Wal-Mart sucks. The largest corporate employer in the country, and they pay crap for employees health insurance benefits. Many of the employees are the working poor, who work full time trying to support a family and they still need medicaid or another subsidised insurance because Wal-Mart is too busy selling junky crap and making billions to really care about their employees. The commercials are idiotic, and as far as the shoplifting thing goes, sure-that's a great idea-Let people go. Add up all those $25. 00 charges in one day at all the stores, and think of the health coverage you could "afford" I've never been to a Wal-Mart and never plan on it either.

Geraldo has got to have had a frontal lobectomy at some point in his life. Some time back, I think he was in China, I dont recall but he said "(country name)has so many people the land is being crushed by the weight of its own people". C'mon.
The secret Al Capone Underground Hideaway flop...
Who can believe the guy? He's a talking national enquirer kind of man.
Geraldo's age exceeds his IQ.

No. Write a letter of complant declaring that you received't keep at W/M anymore and could take your agency elsewhere. Remind them of the 8/20 rule. word: 8/20 rule even as a agency does some thing good the customer tells about 8 people; even as the agency does undesirable the customer tells about 20 people. and that i'm certain you've advised your 20 in this web site already. Now w/m does have that age component on some OTC drugs and chemical compounds, so in the adventure that they did it on condoms that is a mistake they favor to superb.

Speaking strictly from a cost-effective standpoint, it is not in Walmarts best interest to prosecute offenders for less than $25. They have to pay their legal fee's and figure their attorney get a couple hundred an hour, at the very least. Better fiscally for the corporation to just let the system handle it...

steppenwolfe said it best! WalMart is the epitome of corporate greed and arrogance. I've never shopped in a WalMart store and never will. They treat their employees like dirt (especially in China) and pay them poorly. Yet (surprise!) at least four of Sam Walton's descendants are among the top ten richest people in the world! Making billions off the brows of minimum-wage workers is immoral, unAmerican, and repugnant. If all goes well, WalMart will eventually declare bankruptcy like K-Mart did, and - hopefully - will go out of business instead of merging with Sears Roebuck. -RKO-

They had to because there were so many calls to the police about shoplifting at wal-mart that an officer had to be posted there full time.

Financially it makes sense; prosecuting takes money.
I don't know what they plan, but I hope they can still file a police report and let the parents [of minors] know what their "little darlings" are up to. I don't know what will be done with the idiots called adults who steal.
