be sociable... if something interests you, talk about it... you gain popularity that way...

get into a lot of school activities that your interested in, you'll find people you have a lot of common with and have fun at the same time. Hope I helped!

Smile, speak up, let people know where you stand. Then, later, people will come up and say "Omigod, I TOTALLY agree with you!" Then start talking and . . . boom, new friend.
