I'm confused... the vet told you not to spray the puppies, but didn't give you any other advice? Can you use a flea powder and keep it away from the puppies eyes? Or you might be able to bathe them in a flea shampoo again keeping it away from the eyes and towel dry the puppies well. Don't know.

Do not spray the puppies directly, they will get the flea repellent on them from the mother's coat of fur,(which will not hurt them),but will cause the fleas on them to abandon the premises!Just make sure the mother is treated with a good dose.Other than that, you could try picking the fleas from the babies as you see them, and dispose of them in a proper manner.

do not use flea killers on puppies that young.
Bathe them with Dawn - the dish soap. Be careful using spray on the mother too - if the pups lick/nurse it it can kill them.

give the puppies a warm bath with a puppy shampoo and use a flea comb to remove the fleas!

Use frontline on momma. You'll just have to keep them apart from momma for about an hour for her to be "all dry" then they'll be good to go. Use a flea comb on the pups if they're not that bad.

You could use Frontline Plus or K9 Advantix on the mother and any other dogs you may have. If the pups have fleas, they are surely going back and forth from the mother too. If you kill them on her, it may eventually end your problem.

I saw on one of those info-mercials that you can put Lavender oil(the kind you buy at health food stores) in a spray bottle, and use it on dogs, and their bedding. Fleas supposedly hate the smell. I haven't tried it yet, but it couldn't hurt them, and at least their bedding would smell nice-huh? Good Luck, and Congratulations on your new Babies!!!!

Use a veterinary exclusive product like Frontline. It is okay to use it on the mom. Don't settle with the cheap over the counter stuff... they don't work as well (if at all)
