This is a personal question but I have been a restaurant server for several years and I have often wondered how much in tips other people make in different parts of the US and the world for that matter. If you want to answer please tell me what state you are from, what the server pay is there and on average what do you make in tips weekly. Thanks.

when I last worked in a restaurant I was making AU$15.68 per hour (at a 1.5/hr rate after 7pm) and no tips - this was at a resort where I also worked in housekeeping and made between $100 and $500 per week in tips (with the same hourly rate of pay).
this was over 5 years ago and pays have now risen to around $18 per hour with around $50 per week in tips (people tip so much less these days)

I don't know some of the answers, but I can tell you this. I just came back from Kingsport Tn.,after having prime-rib with my wife. The bill was 48.00 dollars, and I left the server a 12 dollar tip. The restaurant is called The Chophouse, and the food is always perfect. By the way,I live in Va. and it is an hours drive from my house.
