It was Christopher Reeve who just died and played in 1, 2, and 3. He was the one that took the fall off the horse and became a quadriplegic for the last 5 or so years before dying last year or early this year. Unless you mean George Reeves who did the TV one and he was shot to death by his own hand if I recall. Both good actors and good men. Good question.

George Reeves was superman before Christopher Reeves. Keanu Reeves was asked to play him, but he said he was spooked by what befell the other Reeves.
