Stagehand, techie, crew, backstage support. Those are the generic names for people who work backstage. There are more specific titles for what job the person does.

When I worked backstage, I was called a Stage Technician or a "Techie." Sometimes the title would reflect the job duties: Light Technician, Sound technician, Fly Technician etc...

stage hand, stage manager, sound designer, lighting design, costume designer, set designer, dialect coach (if necessary), choreographer, stage fight choreographer -- sometimes "backstage" means/includes behind the scenes and support staff
