I always try to decide what Jesus Christ would do in any situation. I don't try to decipher what the Scriptures mean, I try to decipher what is right & wrong and ultimately best. That means thinking of all of the possibilities and selecting from amongst them.

As for my "personal philosophy" and where all that deciphering got me, I believe in individuals' rights, each should "live and let live"... and it'd be too lengthy to expand upon the topic... so let me leave it at that. (I hope to put my beliefs on my 360 blogs.)

Peace.

I am a Christian so I believe in a personal God, so metaphysically ultimate reality is God. God is a necessary being and other living things including human beings are contingent.(meaning we come and go)My epistemology is the basis for all true knowledge originates from God. Though I am a rationalist and hold to A priori knowledge, that which is gained through reasoning, such a geometric postulates; I also embrace empirical knowledge, that which is gained through the senses. I liked how Immanuel Kant was able to integrate both forms of knowledge, in Analytic and synthetic reasoning. Ethics for me is a no brainer, right and wrong are determined by God's standards. Politically, I am a Platonist, which espouses a Philosopher-King to govern the people. One must remember that Plato lived in Athens the origin of democracy, and he criticized it. America, though resembles more that of a republic, like Rome. I do vote, and exercise my right as a citizen, but I am not a republican or a democrat. I have never taken the time to study Aestheics seriously, so I don't have a position on this matter. I believe everybody is a philosopher whether by choice or default, because we all have to figure out what we believe, and philosophy provides the tools for such a task. Finally, I am a Christian and a Philosopher, neither at the expense of the other.

my personal philosophy is to not let anyone else tell you who you are or what you should do. you should make all the decisions by yourself for yourself. you should only do what you think is right and stand up for what you believe in no matter how small or different other people think it might be. to always approach things with an open mind and never judge anything or anyone until you get to know them/ it.

This is my favorite verse from the bible of all time.
Jeremiah 6:14 They have healed the wound of my people lightly,
saying, ‘Peace, peace,’
when there is no peace.
It moved me as soon as I read it!
I look at the bible and see it as a bunch a theories put together. Jeremiah was not blind he saw through the dark unlike other prophets in the bible, i just wanted to share that verse, its not my philosophy, that would take a lifetime to type out. ^_^ Peace to you ^_^

The "Golden Rule" which is Christian but also common to Judaism, Hinduism and Buddhism - don't do anything to anyone that you wouldn't want done to YOU! I am not going to insult you by quoting scripture but roughly... you should "love God with all your heart and all your mind and all your strength and love your neighbor as yourself... on this hang ALL of the laws and ALL of the prophets". Nobody wants to be blown up or shot or tortured. So don't the f**k do it to anybody else!!! What don't we GET about this!!!???

I go down a road less traveled knowing a freedom beyond compare, I accept responsibility for all my actions , believe in the God almighty (I BE) and share this truth. Religion is bad as it adds confussion and causes war.
Truth alone dispells all the smoke and mirrors.Life is to short as it is.

I try to follow Jesus our Christ's teachings that can clearly be found in His Bible. I can't say I don't flounder around with my human blindness or laziness and fail to follow Jesus 100% of the time. I just try. The rest He forgives me for. God Bless you.

My own and whatever I pick up that I consider to be valuable. I believe in reasoning from a presupposition in most cases where urgency is not, as I see it, present, that all persons are innocent.
