If you jog 1 mile how many calories would u burn?

It depends on how much you weigh. & how long it takes you to jog the mile. The more you weigh, the more calories you burn, the faster you jog, the more calories you will burn. The more regularly you jog, the more weight you can lose.

Jogging can burn a lot of calories (as much as 600 an hour)...usually your pace would be at least a mile in 10 minutes. A 10 minute mile is just above a fast walk. You would have to jog 6 miles to burn an hours worth of calories. It's an excellent way to lose weight but it can be hard on your body...all the impact on your joints.

I did heavy weight workouts & jogged 6 days a week for about 3 months & lost 11lbs. I put on a lot of muscle which (weighs more than fat) so that's the reason it was only 10 lbs. If my weight workouts had been lighter, I probably would have lost more around 16lbs. However, it was the weightlifting that changed my body shape which is actually more important than what the scales say so I'd highly recomend it if you really want to shape up.

if you walk about 3 miles per hour you burn around 200 calories for 2.2 miles
