The egg. Maybe not a chicken egg, but there were eggs of dinosaurs before there were eggs of chickens, so the egg was around way before the chicken.
Or, if you're a creationist, mabye god created some other animal that lays eggs just before he created the chicken, so the egg was around first.
Still. . .You never specified what kind of egg, so the egg was first!!!

If you believe in Creationism, the chicken.
If you believe in Evolution, the egg. Something born not a chicken doesn't become a chicken through mutation. Its offspring does, via the egg.

Well acording to the bible, God put animals on the earth, so I'm guessing the chicken, who then layed the egg. Of course for more chickens, there had to be a rooster somewhere.
