A long hot shower helps me relax. When I get mad I try to think of something that does not make me mad. Sunflowers for example.
When I get angry I become obsessed with what made me angry then I have to try and get it off my mind. Its a struggle though if you persist the anger will subside. Also keeping your mouth shut when angry is wise because you often say things you dont mean.

I love to listen to my favorite songs or just by looking at the stars at night makes me feel so relaxed. And when I'm really mad I think of the girl I like and it quickly calms me down as if nothing happens.

I love to Read a book in front of a crackling fire with a cup of Joe (the fufu kind!) I do this often in the fall and winter. In the summer, I like to sit outside in the sun with a beverage of course.
In regards to how to calm down when upset, I would take deep breaths if in a situation where a walk or run would not be available. Listening to music helps me too, listen to a fast music or music that suits the mood usually angry music, it wears your energy down.
Mostly, say to yourself, it can't be helped now, its done and over with, how much does really matter. Does it effect your life that deeply that you can't recover. Rate the seriousness of the offense on a scale of 1-10 on the necessary scale. Sometimes and only to yourself you can depreciate the value of the person committing the offense, (i.e.Mental attributes, stupidity, ignorance, lesser intelligence, lack of proper information, physical attributes etc)
Well enough jabbering already!!

To relax I'll practice music on my synthesizer or watch a good movie. Often when I get really mad I'll play Mortal Kombat or Star Trek Voyager Elite Force and battle it out with computer-generated opponents.

I go for long walks by myself and try to just think about what is around me. Swimming alone is also really nice, just thinking about the cool water flowing over your skin.
And I usually don't get mad right away, so I don't need to calm down. I have delayed reactions.

I answer questions to relax. When I need to calm down, I ask questions. Is that good?

I like to read or watch television (certain shows). When I become angry or mad, which is not too often, I think about all the blessings that I have. Yes, I count my blessings, and what I am upset about becomes microscopic and very unimportant.
