What is the pain one gets that feels like a stabbing pain in the side and upper thigh at the same time? it comes and goes. i've had it off and on for years.

If it doesn't last for very long, it is probably just minor myalgia -- you may want to get that checked out, querida!

Then again, if it doesn't bother you all that much -- perhaps you could learn to live with it. I have a calcium deficiency from birth that causes muscle cramps... they don't hurt all that much, and its just a small occurence.

What are you doing when you get this pain? I would go to the doctor. You will not get the best answer for medical advice here

You should ask a doctor. I am a nurse and even I can't just give you a diagnosis. Go to the doctor and get that checked out.

Could be a pinched nerve

Probably a muscle spasm--if you have had it for years & it does not get worse
