No. I'm a Christian, my mother's side of the family is Jewish, and I am honored to have many Muslim friends. I would encourage anyone to take time and read the Quran - you will find none of the gibberish that the press speaks of.
The problem is the general ignorance and the poor education by the media on theology and religious practices throughout the world.

There are many Muslim Filipinos around here in Manila but I don't assume they're terrorists. But I do understand why people from the middle east are judged that way. Unfortunately, their appearance are coincided with terrorism. But of course, we should be wise in discerning who the terrorists are from those who are not. I'm sure educated people don't judge by the looks. It's just too bad that their religion is stained by the terroristic attacks. I don't think these hateful actions portrays what their faith is all about.
We all have our grievances regarding maltreatment, or injustices. America is not perfect. They still have their flaws. I'm sure Americans are wise enough to know that. We all have complaints about something. We can all act on it in a peaceful manner and not thru terrorism. It's fine with me that some countries hold rallies in the street against the US because they have the right to be heard too, like Americans.
Most Muslims that I know are peaceful well-mannered people in comparison to non-muslims that I know who are rude, who have lots of vices. What I'm saying is we shouldn't generalized a group of people just because some of them have lost their way and ended up in the wrong path.

HOW DO YOU DEFINE A FEW MUSLIMS..
WOULD TEN MUSLIMS BE A FEW..
OR MAYBE TWENTY..
OR HOW ABOUT FIFTY..
IF REAL MUSLIMS DONT SUPPORT, BIN LADEN, OR ANY TERRORIST GROUP..
WHY HAVE THE REAL, MUSLIMS NOT GIVEN HIM UP..
WHY DO WE SEE, SO MANY MUSLIMS OUT ON THE STREETS SHOUTING AND WAVING FLAGS IN SUPPORT OF THOSE TERRORISTS..
AND I AM TALKING ABOUT MORE THAN A FEW MUSLIMS..
HAVE REAL MUSLIMS DEMONSTRATED IN THE STREETS AGAINST TERRORISTS ACTION AROUND THE WORLD..
I PERSONALLY DONT CLASS EVERY MUSLIM, I MEET, OR SEE AS BEING A TERRORIST..
BUT I DO HAVE THE FEELING, THAT THEY ALL SUPPORT, TERRORISM IN ONE FORM, OR ANOTHER..
MAYBE ONE DAY, WHEN THOSE SO CALLED REAL, AND PEACEFUL MUSLIMS, START TO TELL THE MUSLIM TERRORISTS ENOUGH IS ENOUGH..
WE DONT WANT YOU NO MORE..
THEN THE WORLD, WOULD START TO HAVE HOPE..
LET THE WORLD KNOW THAT THERE IS SUCH PEOPLE..
BECAUSE AT THIS PRESENT TIME..
THIS IS SOMETHING THE WORLD IS NOT SEEING.

The question should actually be: HOW DO YOU ACTUALLY KNOW IF SOMEONE IS MUSLIM (IF YOU ONLY LOOK AT THEM)??? The answer is: you don't, since we are referring to a religion, not a race. To be honest and blunt, I think all religious extremists of every pattern and color are enemies to civilization and mankind as a whole. And extremists come in many shapes and sizes: Christian extremists, extreme right-wing wackos, Jewish extremists (in Israel they even have an extreme right-wing!!!), Muslim extremists,etc.... As a matter of fact, I think all extremists are terrorists, because they all preach intolerance and backwardness. And of course, the main culprit in all this is religion itself. Religion I think is so sensitive to tampering, that it is simply dangerous; it is just too easy for it to fall into extremism: the minute someone believes that their faith is better, the path towards extremism opens. Let us hope humans in the future will be more reponsible with such a delicate issue.
To Carolinagrl:
Question: What is a "Middle-Easterner" to you???That's not even a race!!!!!!

I am not going to lie but I'm really sorry if my answer offends you but whenever I see a muslim especially in the airport or plane, I think that the person is a terrorist. I don't know why but because of Osama Bin laden, Al Zarqari and the rest of them that brought bad names to muslims.

sadly i do. esp so when i see a beard on a muslim. But i firmly belive too that islam is a religion of peace and love. not the skewed islam that the fundementalists practise and are trying to force down the free world's throat
but such stereotypes cna only be removed thrugh education. why is it everytime we see in the newspapers, a muslim with a turban, prayer clothes and a beard as a terrorist carrying an ak-47? why cant we see peace loving isalmics who are doing positive things to better society?
the media must then be called into question and bring them to task for the unfair potrayals of muslims in the media

The thing is any muslim could be a terrorist...look at how they have killed.....by plane, on train's and buses in night clubs, they walk amongst innocent civilian's, not looking anything like terrorist's and blow people up as well as themselve's.
It is wrong to say every muslim is a terrorist...but how do you know if they are or not? That is not being racist...people are frightened, and i really don't know what the answer to this is.

Absolutely not and it's sick that so much of the world does! I was at the park just the other day and there were several teenage muslims. Not once did I feel that they were terrorists. It's just one of the typical stereotypes that people have. It's sad and wrong, but know that not all of us feel the same way! Who are we to judge?

I don't feel any threat or think of terrorism when I see a Muslim. But that is me. I do believe that Muslims in the US are having a tough time. people often judge all by the actions of a few.

When I see people like Kaysar on Big Brother 6 I don't. And you are right prejudice is unfair. Unfortunately, some people cannot necessarily control their fear or emotions after the events of the past few years. If I have the opportunity to get to know a Muslim, etc. I do not hesitate to open myself to who that person really is.

Muslim or Middle Eastern??
There are Muslims everywhere that don't look Middle Eastern. Also, its not Muslims that are the problem....its the Muslims that have decided that any other religion is evil and that the followers should be raped, tortured and murdered.
To answer your question, I can't tell whether someone is Muslim or not, but when I see a Middle Easterner board a plane, you're damn right I look twice!
