I was called a ***** by a so-called 'friend' today. They all dress like skanks. Wow, it's Hollywood: Suburb Edition.
One time, my friend volunteered at a pet store to play with dogs. There was a slightly oversized either Yourkie or Westie, and it was adorable, sweet and cuddly. My friend asked why it hadn't been adopted yet, and the store clerk said that women only wanted the 'Paris Hilton dogs'. Just then, a woman came in asking about dogs. The store clerk showed her the wonderful bigger-sized dog, and, without even touching it, she turned away and said: 'Oh, no, it's too big.' I really can't beleive how much our culture is influenced by retarded attention-whores like Paris Hilton. I HATE HER AND HER MUSIC SUCKS!

We made her. Before Paris there were others. We celebrate Young, Rich, Blonde, Anorexic girls.
We confuse our own teenagers with trash mags (i.e. the Star magazine that has the headline about "Are Our Celebrities too Skinny?" next to the OK magazine with the headline "Worst Beach Bodies, Cellulite Celebrities") or some such nonsense.
Paris is famous just for being famous and we made her that way for making our ideal woman a barbie.

I dont think theres anything wrong with Paris, shes just giving people what they want to see and getting paid to do it, shes rather smart in my opinion, most people just believe what they see and are willing to pay for what they want to see, yes shes rich, but most of what she wears, clothing, jewlry etc are given to her just so she can be seen wearing it, probably gets invited to where ever she goes and stays just to have her be seen there,,,just because shes being Paris, now,, thats smart,,,
and if these young women that you say have her as a role model, is she to blame? I think not, these women should have their own minds to be themselves and not look into the tv or media for a role model, if there was no Paris, these dumb women you mentioned would have another bimbo as a role model anyway,,,
and for 12 year old girls, where are their parents??? who buys them the clothing and make up?? to a 12 year old??? its the parents to blame, for not providing a good education and exposing the girls to other things except cable tv.. and allowing a 12 to act and want to be like made up doll from tvland...
In my opinion Paris is just a business woman, smart and beautiful, taking advantage of the moment,,,

She is not a role model for my daughters. She doesn't represent anything that I want my kids to learn. The only reason she is in the media so much is because it is all about making a buck. I'd rather see news about young girls who are doing something positive and morally commendable. Those are the kind of role models that our young people need.

Unfortunately, whatever female star of the week is going to be the one who influences young women. When I was growing up it was Twiggy. I doubt anyone from this generation knows her by name, but she was the hottest thing going in my day, and she looked like a heroin addicted little boy. She was rail thin, no breasts and dark makeup on overlarge eyes.

It is sad that the next generation of American girls has been hypnotized by the blonde debutante, who has single handedly managed to take over the mass media. I guess the over exposure of Ms. Hilton has lead people to believe that they can become famous and rich by emulation. Little do they know.....*sigh*

I have noticed a lot of girls carrying around ugly little dogs in expensive little bags. Stupid Tinkerbell!!!! I did hear her song on the radio and I didn't know that it was her, and sadly I liked it... I guess I am a closet Paris Hilton Fan. It's "cute"!!!!

I don't understand it either. Women are dumbing themselves down to fit the current ideal. She's repulsive and I don't understand why any woman would want to model herself after such a so-called "rolemodel."
