The switch will happen on Monday, September 18th. The prime-time new episodes on The CW will start on the 20th with the season premier of America's Next Top Model.
That is awful that both stations are already gone for you! You would think they would have waited. The WB plans on airing old episodes of shows (including Buffy!) on their last day, and old promos too. I have also heard they will be doing a special goodbye as well.
I have added a link to the new CW affiliates. Look for your city and see if they are going to turn into a CW. I hope the best for you!

The new CR will debut first week of September, 2006. The U-crew will remain unchanged.
