I know what you are talking about and I think the best defense is to educate your child so they will know the difference between being indoctrinated or being truly taught. Academia is chock full of leftists so no place is without leftist professors. Show them examples in their textbooks right now of misinformation. My kids are always showing me textbook horrors. Good luck!

How about you find a politically diverse school so that she isn't overly influenced by any one position? She should be allowed to choose her own leanings with time and should be surrounded with all possibilities so that she can make the most well-informed decision for her own personal beliefs when she's old enough.

Schools don't "brainwash" children either. Some teachers have their own strong leanings that might present themselves in the classroom accidentally, but no teacher or school is allowed to outright influence a student's political or moral beliefs in any way.

have you ever been to college?

Why do I get the feeling that the real question you want to ask is: "Where will I be able to send my daughter to school where she will not become a person of her own and keep the beliefs that I have instilled in her?"

there are some very liberal colleges... but most are ok...

I guess you could send her to a Christian college... but there are some VERY shady things that go on there, like huge rates of alcoholism that make many state universities blush... oddly enough...

I think that'll have to come from home. College, as she gets older, will have more leftists than ones leaning to the right. Yeah, you'll have to show her why war is necessary, and respect and honor. I hate to say it, but ROTC schools qualify as one of those schools (non-leftist) Remember that most all of your schools will have students and Instructors who never served in our Armed Forces, so they'll never know true manners, honor, respect, discipline unless perhaps their parents , or other relatives served. Maybe then, she'll get the influence needed to avoid turning her into a robot, puppet, follower of anything that is blind. Good luck; I certainly don't envy your future task.

Annapolis or West Point would be good. If you can not get your congressman/congresswoman to apply for an appoint ment you can try VMI or the Citadel. Short of that Attica or Folsum would probably be the best public schools.

Homeschool her. She'll get a top-notch education and finish high school at 14, graduate college with a BS at 17, get her MS at 18 and her PhD at 21. She'll go much farther in her life than any kid who went to any public school and most private schools.

I'd rather have my child brainwashed by the left than by some goose-stepping, right-wing, neo-Nazi, Bush loving war monger who feels that if I am not for them I am the enemy just because I care about the poor and down-trodden.

This is a valid concern. I would argue that there are universities that exist that won't be too extreme. Also, there are great organizations such as (but not only) Campus Crusades for Christ that might be a good place for her to be reminded of her values and convictions.

As far as I can tell, any public school in the US.

Don't you realize that the Republicans started their campaign to demolish democracy in the USA by taking over the school boards one by one some 35 years ago?
