Please don't tell me : clean ! Seems all houses have mice around me. Tried traps, those sticky plastic things but they come through very small holes..from outside via different ways. Bit fed up of seeing their mess. THANKS !

This may sound stupid, but I swear it is the truth and it works. Get some small tin lids and pour soda in them. Sit them around where the mice run around. Mice (rats, too) will drink the soda because it is sweet. They will die soon afterward because they can't burp. You may think that's nuts, but I got rid of one HUGE rat several years ago with just that thing and have used it since when I have a mouse and before long it's bye bye mousy.

It's not YOUR fault the mice think your house is their idea of House Beautiful; and they can come in through such small holes too. I hate the sticky pads, they seem torturous to me. The snap traps don't really work well, plus then you have to dispose of the catch. I found that the poison worked best, especially the kind that makes them seek water, drink, and die rapidly, because they usually LEAVE the house to find water and that way you arent' left with decaying mice in your walls.

If you have pets or children, you must use extreme caution with where you put the poison baits. It works quickly though, and to me seems much more humane. I put poison pellets in my attic and basement 4 years ago and haven't had a mouse since.

best wishes,

There's a gadget called an "ultrasonic pest repeller" which you plug into the wall - it's supposed to make a sound that humans can't hear but which annoys the mice. However, there have been mixed reviews on these things and there are many brands out there. So you should bring the mouse to the store and see how it reacts to the gadget before buying. Otherwise .... mouse tartare (oops, wrong people's cuisine - I won't say whose recipe book it comes from this time!)

I have gone to using De Con poisons that I can hide in small places where my dogs can't get to them. It seems to be the most effective but the fact of the matter is, I will never be completely rid of them. I have 4 dogs and keep their food out 24/7 which attracts them. I just keep out the sticky traps where I know they go and use the poison where I can hide it and it keeps them down to a dull roar. Sorry, but if there are a lot of places outside your place where they are breeding, they will continue to come in to find water and food. Good luck!!

If you have a big problem...like you live in the country or woods, you are going to have to get cats. My mother lives in the woods and she has a bunch of cats outside roaming the property. While alot of the neighbors have mice issue, she has NONE. Go figure.

I had that problem for a while and I got a can of great stuff expanding foam and filled every little hole that was around the house and they stopped coming in. Takes a little practice to not use too much though.

Had a mouse problem once before, and we bought the food that they can take to the rest of their "family", and they die from it. It worked great, haven't had a problem since. I can't remember the name, but go to your local market, and ask someone in the chemical lines and they will tell you. Good luck
