I think I would be frightened -- feeling my body shutting down would be terrifying. But I would be trying hard to relax... I'm not afraid of death, I know what is coming.

There's a place waiting for me, and if I kept thinking about that -- then dying and the last few moments here wouldn't be so scary, I guess.

Good question! ^_^

Hebrews 11:16, "Instead, they were longing for a better country—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them."

I don't believe in God any more because of a tragic motor scooter and gun accident that blew off my left foot and three fingers. I often wonder that if I saw Bozo naked would I think that chocolate milk cannot be sold in stores in a plastic container, or could it? That is a very deep and philosophical question that many great people like Coach Ditka and Jesus could not answer when they went before a grand jury for illegal dancing in Utah. Just because Van Halen does not play at your grammar school dance doesn't mean that you have missed out in life or did something wrong. You have to move past those issues and begin to address the fact that Men are from Mars and Women are from Saturn. I once fed a dead rat to a blind man in a tossed salad and he was not happy with the dressing I picked for him. Do you ever reflect on the meaning of extra large shrimp or why plumbers don't lay plumbs when bricklayers lay bricks? Dance freely and don't forget to wear sunscreen when you go to the bowling alley. The government and aliens want you to stop smoking and you are just falling into their plan and trap. Think about all the people in the phone book that cannot play the piano or shoot a cross bow. Why is that? I cannot explain this to anyone unless they open their mind to free thoughts and the acceptance that dogs can teach humans to create a clean burning combustible engine to put in our automobiles. I do generally wear only women's orange panties when I cut the lawn in the morning. I think that is the best answer that I can provide with this limited amount of time and research.

Depends on how you are dying. If you're just dying then the organs start shutting down, breathing becomes labored, the eyesight goes before the hearing. In other situations, the last moments would be fast and it all would happen together like people getting killed in car accidents instantly. I do not know what I will experience in the last moments of my own life, I am content to wait until then. I am not afraid of dying.

If you are in perfect health, and know that your last moments are ahead of you, then you are the most fortunate person on earth. However, the same is not true if you are terminally ill and looking death in your eyes. For them, it is eternal relief from physical agony but mentally they are in turmoil. You should learn to live life as it comes and invite whatever is there in store for you. This is the key for happiness and for those who can practice this priciple, the last moments will be bed of roses.

I have thought about this one before. Depending upon how one views life, I guess one's last moments will be highly personal, because we are all "trespassers" in one way or the other.
I remember reading about a chaplain's sermon to the Marine Corps prior to their landing in Iow Jima during WWII. He said, tomorrow you will assault the enemy, many of you will see continued action and others will be standing before Jesus Christ.
Those who know of last moments of life probably await execution, or possibly knowing one is about to be murdered, or an accident such as drowning.
I hope I have lived a quality Christian life and will thus appear before Jesus Christ.

i would be thinking of a memories from my early age. of course the most glorious ones where i achieved something. that's why its very important for me to be something now, so that i have something to think about when i am in my last moments.
the reason for doing this is, death is like going to sleep, when i go to sleep i tend to have good dreams when i am thinking about good things, so i hope when i am dead, i will be having a very good dream. thats is of course if i die in my bed of age.
