For the past week i started using neutrogena face wash and now im starting to break out. I heard that once you start using it, you will break out then you're skin will become clear, is this true or should i quit using it?

What it is doing is pulling all the impurities to the surface. Once most of them come up your face will clear up. Just keep doing your cleaning routine.

I have heard of some products like retin-a causing skin to break out worse and then get better. Neutrogena face wash seems too mild to cause such a reaction. I'm thinking try something else or change your routine to include a benzoyl peroxide astringent after you wash to make sure all the dirt is getting out of your pores. It almost sounds like it's clogging the pores.
If it were me I would change products.

Eh....I dunno. i use OLAY products and they work very well. The thing with Neutrogena and products like that is all the chemicals in it. I would stay away from it, personally. I use Witch Hazel and it cleans my face so well, I've never had a problem with blemishes (The smell is a little hard to get used to, but I highly reccomend it. It may be a little hard to get your hands on)

Good luck!
