Long answer ... maybe ... if they don't check your ID and look you up. Or if you can get a special waiver, which depends on the conviction, how long ago, and other factors.

You can be denied entrance.

"If You've Ever Had A Felony...."
Persons with a felony may be denied entrance into Canada. If you have been convicted of a crime in the United States it may be considered a felony in Canada. A Driving While Intoxicated conviction (D.W.I.) is considered a felony in Canada.

It's probably just as easy as crossing into Mexico! Legality is another question. I guess you should not have voluntarily rendered yourself a social cripple, huh?

I seriously doubt it, if they were strict before at the border, they are even more so since 911.
