NEVER!
My ethics place my personal gain on the # 1 priority spot.
So it is impossible for me to violate my ethics for personal gain, because personal gain IS my ethics.
Unfortunately (or fortunately depending which way you look at it) I ignore my ethics quite often to help others. For some reason I keep doing it, even though I know that it goes against my principles.

You can practice your ethics and still gain personally.

not very often, but if it comes to personal gain and to help to get something in track well done I'd say.

I have done this and regret it everyday. I don't do it anymore. Karma is a very strong element. I don't recommend crossing this zone ever.

I would have to say maybe a few times, but have regretted it and learned from it! It's not worth it!
