Which one? Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels, Texas is number 1 in the US. It's really fun.

Six Flags over Texas @ Fiesta Texas: I actually worked as a lifeguard there for two years and it is very small and if you go during peak hours it is quite large and water can get really dirty. The Kiddie area is extremely small. You might have to wait in order to get a tube for the Lazy river. The tornado is fun but wait averages about 30 minutes. The more weight on the ride the more fun but can cause back problems because you slam you back down when you go down. Not too many areas to place your stuff down. One good thing is that it can be really safe since it is totally seperate from the rest of the theme park.
Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels: I am not a big fan of this place for two reasons; (1) The wait for lines from Thursday through Sunday can get up to 2 hours. (2) The water can get VERY dirty. The water tastes salty and kind of smells.
-If you plan on going here plan on spending the WHOLE day there because it is really large and it is hard to do everything in one day.
Splash town: I have only been here a few times but it is pretty cheap but it is in a bad neighborhood so you usually have local kids that are kind of annoying.

Schlitterbahn and SplashTown are the main ones in the city, Schlitterbahn is in New Braunfels, about 30 minutes outside of San Antonio and next to Landa Park and the Comal River, so it's pretty nice there ... Splashtown is on the East side of San Antonio where the Pace Picante company used to be, this area is very industrial, but the park is very nice and fun to go to ... and fairly cheap.

Don't forget seaworld of Texas. They have a water park as well, and you get to see animals and ride other rides as well. It's like an aquariam, a zoo, a waterpark and an amusement park in one and if you go online, you can get discount tickets. Or check out the HEB near you.

In San Antonio, we have Splashtown, and about 30 mins away in New Braunfles we have Schlitterbahn,the number one waterpark in the nation. Check out their websites listed below.

schlitterbahn is gay. dont go unless ur willing to spend ur WHOLE day in line. if u wanna go to it- go in mid aug. i live in new braunfels where schlitterbahn is located, and thats when all the tourist season quits. trust me.. i look forward for skool time to begin cuz of that reason. :-) have fun
