lets say they reported they did not commit a felony on their application & it was 7 /8 yrs ago bu their a good employee can this person get fired? what is the likelihood? 1-10 scale

If it was on the application, then yes. Keep in mind that if s/he had disclosed it in the interview, however the employer could only deny them the position if it had something to do with their felony. For example, if I was convicted of embezzlement I could be denied a position that deals with money, but not a position as a secretary.

I would say 50/50 chance of getting fired. Lying is not a good thing. It depends upon the boss and company policy.

I think it would be handled based on the employee's job performance, loyalty, and benefit to the company.

P.S. I would not want to be the one to send the report to someone's employer.

are you planning on doing this to someone?thats wrong,but if it was on the application and he lied about it yeah he or she might get fired.i guess it depends on what kind of job it is and how good of a employee they are
