Theory: (Could be wrong on so many levels) On the basic idea of artificial insemination, could the DNA be extracted from the egg of one woman and put in the egg of the other and implanted as normal? Or maybe with some added activation enzyme sperm has?

Yes since they both have only X chromosomes, they could only produce a girl...

And i'm not a lesbian looking to have a child with my partner, not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm a biology student who had a theory

A similar theory I've heard, is that technically, there are sufficient chromosomes to produce a human, but it would be a sterile female.

Hey, What are u thingking about ???
The lesbian CAN NOT have their own children. The galz just have the ovum that needed to be fertilized by the sperm to be growing up.
As the lesbian, no fertilization happened. They both have the ovary, and it couldn`t produce any sperm cell.

But,,, If u want to take another way, such as the implementation that u are explain above, it could be possible. U may have the baby from the tube baby, or that insemination. But it is NOT NORMAL.

It is all depend to u. But I suggest that, no lesbian that could hope they wil have a baby.

I dunno. Wonder if you could do something like this in vitro. I don't know enough about what happens imediately after fertilization to know.

How does the sperm get it's chromosomes to the eggs chromosomes? What about epi genetics? Would you then have two different sets of mitochondrial DNA? Would that even matter?

Mother nature doesn't like it when folks go messin around with stuff they ain't supposed to be messin around with......... if you're not into procreation the old fashioned way, mother nature's way........ you could always adopt........ give a kid a chance......... remember, none of us were asked if we wanted to be here........ before being here........... kids (babies) don't have any choice regarding where when, why or how............ also, be it a boy or a girl, said child may actually want to have a real father

Well, if one of the lesbians is transgendered or a hermaphrodite, then yeah, sure a lesbian couple can have children naturally.

where is the sperm in this scenario. You cannot create life with just two eggs...they have to be fertilized with sperm!!

If you ever watch the L-word, there is that transgendered guy who considers himself a lesbian. If you accept that he is a lesbian, he could have sex with his lesbian partner and they could have a kid.
