Its 2 in the morning & I'm not the slightest bit tired. I need to get up at about 7 to cycle 11 miles to go to the gym, then to go to a bbq.
I dont think I'll have the energy when the time comes. help please?

the first thing you mustn't do is panic about the time as this will only elavate the problem - have you got things on your mind that your worrying about? This is always a major factor when it comes to sleep loss - i know that when i've got stuff on my mind and can't swich off i can never get to sleep.. I suggest that you make yourself a milky drink (yeah i know) but it does help to relax i promise you.. Listen to some relaxing music for 20 mins while you have your milky drink - close your eyes and let your mind drift and then you should be ready for some sleep..

I also suggest that you make an appointment to see your doctor about your sleep problems.. good luck

I work the night shift. Some days I only get 2-3 hours of total sleep. I would not worry about a day or two but you will need to catch up on your lost sleep.

i think the short nights make matters worse. once the autumn approaches u'll probably sleep better.

try a barley/milk drink if you can stomach it, that usually knocks me out for a good eight hours.
