Mine are for two weeks, but I take them out every night and put the one-step solution on them and do not replace them for six months. I saw a special on Dateline or 20-20 or one of those shows and it said that all the lenses were the same, but they have different prices and different time limits. They said the eye Doctors know it. Does anybody know? So far, nothing has happened to me, and I have been doing it for eight years.

You are taking a big risk with something that is not replaceable. Compare contact lenses with a sponge - you can use it for a while but eventually you know it has absorbed some germs that aren't coming out - so you replace them. That's one of the top reasons you have limits on how long you wear your contact lenses. As these things build up in your lenses, they become less permeable to oxygen. This decrease in oxygen can cause corneal neovascularization and make your corneal epithelium weaker and therefore, more susceptible to infection.
You don't go without brushing your teeth because you don't want a cavity (at least I hope), don't abuse your contact lenses because you don't want an eye infection.

I think mine are for two weeks. I wear them until I start having problems with protein buildup, and then I open another pair.

When I cry though,it is all over. I can use the whole bottle of contact cleaner on them and it does not do much good. I must have very potent protein in my tears.

If I go through more lenses than my prescription allows, I go back to my eye doctor and explain the problem. He says he would rather I use too many and see clearly, than keep one pair for too long and cause damage.

The best thing to do is ask your eye doctor.
My eye doctor told me that you should throw the contacts away at the end of the specified time of the contacts you are using. If they are 2 week wear, then throw them away at the end of 2 weeks. Some contacts you are supposed to be able to wear longer or overnight because they allow more oxygen to get to your eye. Take great care of your eyes. It is better to be safe than sorry.

you may want to keep music on a calender or some thing. Your imaginative and prescient is major and in case you placed on contacts that werent meant for better than 2 weeks it may bring about a severe eye an infection that could bring about blindness. 7- 12 is a lengthy time period. you may want to relax your eyes and commerce to glasses each once in a lengthy time period, it truly works for me. you comprehend even as a splash isnt good anymore even as it burns even as positioned interior the interest, or jus by using searching on the curve interior the contact, even if that is deformed, then you honestly might want to replace it
