Well, as an Eagles fan and an avid NFC watcher, I can say that if Eli plays acceptably well, they'll be tough to beat. However, the Redskins and Cowboys are greatly upgraded, and it's seriously a toss up between those 3 for the title. Luckily for the more well-rounded Giants, the three other teams in the NFC East all have HUGE questions marks at one position. Mark Brunell's effectiveness (I think he'll be alright, not great, but solid), the Cowboys entire O-line (which will have an effect on the health of Drew Bledsoe -- not to mention the running game) and the Eagles lack of WR threats. The only real question for the Giants, who have a good O-line, good receivers (counting Shockey), a great running back and VERY solid Defense, is in fact Eli. If he can play up to his family's heritage, the Giants are the team to beat in the east.

As a Dallas fan,I sure hope not..lol. Seriously, every team in the NFC East is vastly improved this year. I think most feel the Giants or Dallas are the favorites, but with that division,as alway,it will come down to who has the better division record. It seems the NFC east teams always beat up on each other. I think Eli is a little too inconsistent and seems to be easily frustrated by pressure. I expect him to improve,he will never be the QB that his brother is..but he can be a servicable QB for years to come. I think that the lack of a "tough" reciever will hurt the Giants. Burress is talented, but he seems to vanish at times. The word around the league is that he doesnt like to go across the middle...which really means he doesnt like to get hit. Shockey is tough, but he is a TE and can only do so much. They have improved slightly, but I dont see them winning the east,Barber had a career year last season, dont expect him to repeat. He is getting up in years. I think they have a good shot at the playoffs, but barring serious injury,I think the Cowboys should come out of the east. Not just because they are my team, but because they have upgraded the few weak spots that they had from last year. The only question will be of course, the TO dilemma, but I think he will like Dallas. The defense is solid and with Jones healthy look for the running game to be one of the best in the league. Glenn,Owens,Witten and Crayton will make sure that defenses cant put 8 in the box to stop the run. The Eagles have improved their defense by a ton,but they have no real threat at reciever and their running game is only average. The Redskins have to rely on the old arm and legs of Brunell, and I dont think he will last the entire season. They had a good draft and have some weapons, but overall,I think they are just not a complete team. I see the division as follows.

1)Cowboys
2)Giants
3)Redskins
4)Eagles

I hope so...lol...of course, one major injury can cost a team the season so for all fans of these teams...keep your fingers crossed..lol. I see Dallas and NY making the playoffs...possibly the Skins as well. Just depends on how well the other division leaders stand as to whether the East will get three in the playoffs. Regardless, the east is always the toughest division. Every division game, regardless of records,is usually a knock down dragout war.

Kyle Orton had a very poor QB rating for the Bears last year and they still made the playoffs on the shoulders of their defense. If Eli were to struggle it just means other people have to step up. I wouldn't fret too much about it. Eli is a Manning, after all, with a great football pedigree. He'll get better.

the giants have a good team but eli needs to step up and lead the team into the playoffs. if ur QB doesnt step up then u cant have a good football team. i like the giants as an organization but i think they need a little if not some work until they can make it that far into the playoffs

The NY Giants will be battling the Washington Redskins for 2nd place in the division this year, and maybe a wild-card birth. Dallas will be winning the division easily.

Eli has no excuse to not have a good season. Burress, Toomer, Shockey, and Barber to back him up on offense...absolutely no excuse. They'll get a wildcard this season if they can beat Dallas out of it, which should be interesting to watch. They probably still aren't a super bowl contender though...but it was fun watching my Panthers shut them out in last years playoff game.

If the Giants don't beat out Dallas...I'm going to be very disappointed in them....I despise Dallas.....they need another bad season so maybe T.O. will get crabby...that'd be funny. Washington is going to take the NFC East though...but with how tough that division is...it'll still be really close.

while ever it does not result my team I do, via fact the Cowboys are nevertheless alive alongside with the Skins and Giants i'm nevertheless rooting against them in straightforward terms via fact I see them as greater of a danger via fact they understand us so nicely. If say the Cowboys have been out i might %. a branch rival to root for and if Washington or long island make it to the Superbowl i might root for them. I additionally choose to make certain them do nicely via fact it proves the potential of The NFC EAST, 2 years in a row we despatched 3 playoff communities in and all the communities have been at or above .500

He's working his way to be an NFL #1 next to his big bro but I don't think he will be better than Peyton.

The Giants will make it to the Division Final in the NFC this year.

ELI struggled last year and they still won the east so even if he struggles they still make play offs.
