Thanks I'm signing it, even though Materazzi is an Inter player. He does not deserve this because he didn't do anything wrong. He only insulted Zidane. So? It happens all the time in football. What Zidane did has no reason or justification. And how come FIFA now changed its own rules? The provoker is condemned the same as the one who did the act. It's like it wasn't Zidane's fault!

Sorry, I cannot support Materazzi. He is a disgrace to football. I like some of the other Italian players, but definitely not Materazzi. He is an *******.

It's a shame that prior to the verdict no supporting words were given to Materazzi from any Italian diplomats while Zizou even had the France's president on his side for his butthead stunt.

Now they're coming up with this defendiamo materazzi crap that should have been implemented from day 1. Too little too late, unfortunately. :-(

Thanks, anyways...I'll check it out and give him my support.

Personally, I feel that he should not be suspended at all... the most a fine should suffice... his crime is nothing compared to Zidane's

On the other hand, by the time the qualifiers start, Nesta would most prob have recovered.... then Materazzi would no longer be 1st team

Materazzi rocks! he is the coolest dude! I love him for what he did on the final. he is a brilliant defensive player and whatever he did on the final is pretty normal during any football game.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention Juventina.
FIFA really succumbed to outside pressures, didn't they when they punished Materazzi. It's absurd!
It's about time there is support for him.
Do you know anything about the requirements for becoming an Italian citizen? My question about this is in the Italy travel category
Ciao Bella
