Why don't we support the arabs instead of the jews? Why do we support Israel?

If you have seen the headlines recently, reporters claim that Israel is doing our job for us; You know, getting rid of the terrorists and such. But if we side with Israel, are they not producing more terrorists against us? In a WWIII scenario, the arabs would win, so why do we not side with them? Israel is the loosing card I say. We would be the only one siding with Israel in WWIII.

In the interest of the American people, siding with the arabs would be the best bet. I think America supports Israel due to their large political lobby base in America, not becaus it is the best bet.

Now that we are headed toward WWIII, I think we should reconcider backing the jews in Israel.

I don't know or care where you got your information, but you are the most IGNORANT person I have NEVER met. It sounds to me like you just either hate Jews because of your beliefs or you are using them as a scape-goat. Most of the worlds terrorists come from somewhere in Persia, other than that it doesn't really matter what country they are from because if they believe in that "HOLY WAR" aka- Jihad BULLSHIT, then they are more than likely a Terrorist (Every Religion and Belief System has Extremists, I am NOT attacking Muslims). yes I m an Egyptian and you have to know this fact : Israel will be terminated now or later because it is a strange piece hater country in our arab world . If you check the history Israel was nothing until 1948 when they take our land (Palastine) and from then there were many wars 48 56 67 73 2000 and now 2006 . befor israel there was piece and love between us ( the arabs ) israel has killd millions of arabs and everyday it maks it worst israel will be nothing as it has been origenated now maybe in 50 years in 100 years but we will win this war against israel

There is a lot more at stake here than siding with the team that looks like it might win.Such as doing the right thing.This is going to be a very long war unlike any we have ever been in before, there will be flare ups and hot spots for a very long time to come I,m afraid but it all comes down to doing the right thing and that is to protect ourselves and the allies we have in this war against terror.And as far as the WWII scenario that probably seemed like a long shot at that time too but again it was the right thing to do and the world was a better place to live after it was all over.I suggest you look deeper into why we have to fight this war and not about choosing to side with what you view as the side with the winning hand.

Supporting Israel is may be the only thing we still do right.

We created mess by aggression in Iraq, and instead of a typical secular dictator there probably will be much stricter religious regime friendly with Iran. Terrorist branches of Islamic movements are encouraged by the present situation and arm themselves in fast pace with better rockets etc.

Israel defends itself. Hezbollah and Hamas have for long time stated a purpose of eliminating Israel in their programs. They are armed with weapons from Iran and Syria, and it would be irresponsible for Israeli government not to respond.

No responsible country sides with Hezbollah or similar terrorist organizations. USSR used to support them, but now even Russia is sort of neutral on this. If you check varied internet voting across the globe, majority has more sympathy to Israel. Hezbollah intentionally fights from populated areas and sometimes does not allow civil population to move out.

As for 'best bet', I suggest some thinking about moral values.

Israel has over 200 Atomic bombs and their biological weapons
are probably even more effective than there nuclear weapons. The Arabs currently have no atomic bombs and if one of the
Arab countries decides to acquire any, Israel will be more than
happy to give them a few ( complete with mushroom clouds ) !

I was channel surfing one night and came across the Jerry Falwell show and according to him, we have to support the Jews for religious reasons.

Supposedly there is going to be a war between Christians and Jews, and the Jews will be given a opportunity to convert to Christianity or die.

It sounded ridiculous and I didn't get the whole thing, but this is what I heard him say.

World War Three scenario? Who came up with that? Israel has helped foil several attacks on the U.S. and many of our allies. They have a lot of experience in dealing with these cowards and they know what we are learning. These people cannot be dealt with. They will only demand more and more until we cannot give anymore and we would be at war anyway. The best solution to the problem is for the superpowers of the world to show power to these cowards and destroy them because given the opportunity these people would murder you and your family and everyone else on this website supporting there actions.

I've read the headlines and listened to CNN and Fox news... At no time did I see or hear from any reporter that Israel was "doing our job for us". Please quote your source for me. Will siding with Israel produce more terrorists? Please tell me how. We are at war with islamic terrorists...all islamic terrorists. We just haven't gone to war with all of them yet. You do know that the US is hated by every islamic nation on earth. They're all of them against the US already.

In a WWIII senario we would win!! There's no way the nation of islam could win a war with the entire western world, they don't have the nukes... although I believe they're stupid enough to try.

I trained and fought with the IDF. All Israel wants is to be left in peace. The muslim nations in the middle east, however just won't let Israel alone. I hope Israel kicks the muslim's as*sses.

Without the aid of the US, Israel would cease to exist. Israel has 40% fewer people than Los Angeles county, is surrounded by enemies, and represents an example of a democracy in a region that hasn't really experienced much of that.

We /do/ support other countries in the regioin, but Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that is getting maligned in fatwas by SA clerics.
