im trying to restore it as it isnt working anymore,,,,but i get this msg"Cannot mount ipod" what does this mean please? thanks

Here is the latest,,,,,Apple is going to fix my ipod for me even tho my warranty has expired by only 2 months :))
so, i am a happy camper again, or at least till another problem arises.

You may need to reinstall the software, or could have a bad cable or port. Failing those, your iPod may be ill and need service.

It's a good idea to try these things in the same order they list them.

Your battery probably needs charged first.
Then enter disk mode (see the web page) to recover.

It means, format your harddrive, start over.
