If you are really concerned go to your doctor for cognitive testing. If those tests reveal that you are cognitively impaired, you'll be sent for other tests--an MRI, a blood test, maybe more--to rule out any other causes for the impairment.
If this is a joke question, it's not funny to those of us who have loved ones with this disease. I saw my father cry because he lost some papers that were precious to him and my mom and I were looking in the house, the car, the yard and ready to re-trace their steps for the day when he found them in his pocket.

The first thing you need to know, is that these symptoms may be all sorts of things, and could be normal.
You wouldn't know it before you've seen a doctor. Ask yourself these questions:
Do you forget stuff frequently/more than usual?
Do you feel that there's "something wrong"?
Do you feel confused/hopeless/anxious (more than before)?
These, or some of these, are usual signs of Alzheimer's. Typical risk factors include high age, earlier head injury, smoking, diabetes, cholesterol, but you do not need to have any of these to get Alzheimer's.
I should also mention that there could be all kinds of reasons for forgetting stuff, including if you were in a hurry or thinking of other things (attention was not directed of what you forgot), or sickness, like the flu.
If you're aging, this is also a thing you should expect, as memory decline with your age. Actually your ability to remember starts to diminish after 30 years.
Whether you have Alzheimer's or not, can not be determined without a medical exam. You may very well not have Alzheimer's, but maybe an advice would be to see a doctor?

people constantly look for their glasses while they're wearing them or look for their keys when they're in their other pocket, it's not alzheimers, it's just being too rushed or not paying attention to details for whatever reason. maybe you almost dropped the milk when you opened the refrigerator and put the remote down so you could use both hands, not remembering it. maybe you were so accustomed to the weight of the purse that you forgot you had it. the fact that you're even concerned that you may have alzheimers is proof that you don't...

It wouldn't hurt to get checked out by a doctor. There could be something going on that is not as serious affecting your memory.
Someone once gave me this example: If you lose your car keys, that's forgetfulness; if you can't remember what car keys are or what they are used for, that could be Alzheimer's.

You knew it was a purse and you knew it was a remote so you are fine---you are just not detail oriented. AND--why would you think to look in the refer. for your remote?? A bit of a snacker??

Whoops!
You need to check with your doctor. Depending on your age and your family history, the doctor may or may not be concerned.
